Enables qualifying companies applications for real and personal property tax exemption for a period of up to ten years. The governing body decides the percent of exemption.
E-Community is in place to provide gap financing to help entrepreneurs start or grow a business in Shawnee County.

The Joint Economic Development Organization (JEDO) was established by an interlocal agreement between Shawnee County and the City of Topeka. It is funded through the half cent countywide retailers sales tax and is to be used for economic development.
