Minority Enterprise Development Week 2022
Minority & Women Business Development (MWBD) will host its 1st annual National Minority Enterprise Development (MED) Week celebration. MED Week celebrates the outstanding accomplishments of minority-owned companies and presents informational sessions and programming; offering interactive networking sessions to generate new connections and fresh perspectives. MED Week also features an awards reception where individuals and organizations are honored for exceptional commitments and contributions to minority business growth.

Sunday, September 18, 2022 – Blessing of the Businesses
Description: Religious places of worship across Topeka and Shawnee County will pray a blessing over each of the Topeka/Shawnee County minority and women-owned businesses.
Monday, September 19, 2022 – MED Week Kick-off, Resolution, and Doing Business With KDOC & A Major Corporation
Description: Kicking off MED Week celebration with a resolution and doing business with KDOC and a major corporation. Coffee and light breakfast provided.
Location: St. Francis Community Board Room, 6th Floor at GTP
Time: 8:00am – 11:30am
Tuesday, September 20, 2022 – Celebrate Minority & Women-owned Businesses
Description: Visit your favorite local minority and women-owned businesses all day. Shop with them and celebrate their business!
Location: Topeka and Shawnee County
Time: All Day
Wednesday, September 21, 2022 – Minority Business Development: Reimagining Opportunity
Description: With the idea that we have to think bigger and what more can be done with the opportunities that are presenting themselves now.
Location: Omni Circle, 1301 SW Topeka Blvd.
Time: 5:30pm – 7:30pm
